Maureen has been working in the travel industry for over 20 years. She lived in Alaska where she worked for Princess Cruises & Tours which ignited her love of travel. Her next opportunity came when she moved back to her home state of Colorado and had the opportunity to work for one of the largest tour operators and river cruise companies in the world.
Her career has enabled her to work as an account manager with National Accounts, Home-Based & Prospect Accounts, host agencies, travel agencies, and helping independent contractors chart their course in this amazing industry.
Richard D’Ambrosio is a master storyteller who has helped hundreds of travel advisors— grow their brands and sales through marketing. Richard has a passion for helping small businesses find their voice and tell their story to attract ideal clients, and has been a regular speaker and educator with The Travel Institute, the Family Travel Association, Travel Market Report, Travel Research Online, and a host of other organizations.
Co-Founder and President /CEO of the Wellness Tourism Association, Anne Dimon is also Owner/ Editor of TravelToWellness.com launched in 2004 as the first online magazine/resource for the wellness-minded traveler. As a travel writer and industry journalist for close to 25 years, she has traveled the world as contributor to a wide variety of publications. Prior to her life as a journalist, Anne was president of her own public relations company specializing in hospitality, and has worked in the hotel industry as a director of public relations. She is also the co-author of The Travel Institute’s new Wellness Travel Specialist Course.
Leslie Hershberger is a master teacher and facilitator and founder of Living Enneagram. She offers both corporate and personal development workshops, retreats, keynotes throughout the US and Europe both in person and online. She designed the Three Centers Course which is an online practical tool for developing emotional and social intelligence in the head, heart and body. She integrates the Enneagram, three-centered practice and Integral Theory in her work. She was honored for using the theological objectives at Xavier University towards distinguished contribution to society.
Mike Marchev has been training and motivating sales professionals in the travel industry since 1984. With university teaching credentials coupled with international sales experience Mike has developed a refreshing and often times humorous speaking style that has early risers rushing to grab a seat at his early morning sessions. This year’s sessions promise to be relevant, realistic and enjoyable. In addition to major travel organizations and conferences Mike has been asked to share his sales experiences with respected companies such as Sysco Foods, Wells Fargo, Toyota, Siemens, The Washington Post, Pitney Bowes, Merck, Los Alamos National Labs and many more.
Mark Pestronk is engaged in the private practice of law with the Law Offices of Mark Pestronk, P.C., The Travel Law Office, in Washington, DC. Mark has over 40 years’ experience in representing travel companies in industry-related matters, and is among a very small group of lawyers nationwide whose practice is solely devoted to travel industry concerns. Mark is the weekly legal columnist for Travel Weekly and the author of over 1,400 trade-press columns on such topics as trade contracts, acquisitions, debit memos, and liability. He is a popular speaker at industry-related meetings, seminars, and conferences, and he has led seminars for Travel Leaders in the areas of acquisitions, host agencies, succession planning, liability, GDS contracts, and more. A native of New York City, Mark holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University in international relations and a law degree from Georgetown. He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and Virginia. Mark is also one of the top $50,000-plus money winners on the TV game show “Jeopardy!”.
Mary Stein, the senior editor at Host Agency Reviews, is a writer by trade and travel industry transplant. She’s worked with Host Agency Review since 2016 and currently leads HAR’s Industry Voices series and collaborates to develop and implement HAR’s communications, multi-media travel advisor resources, and annual survey reports.
Outside HAR, she’s contributed to travel trade publications such as Travel Research Online, Travel Market Report, and The Travel Institute. She hails from Minneapolis where she lives with her partner and their young son.
