GENERAL INFORMATION

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE AT EDGE?

The dress code for all EDGE meetings and workshops is business. Please remember to bring a sweater or jacket as temperatures in the meeting space and classrooms may vary.

WHERE CAN I ADDRESS MY ADA SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS?

During registration, you will be asked to list any special needs. If you have already registered and did not list your needs, please email us at EDGE.

I WENT TO THE 2018 TRAVEL LEADERS NETWORK EDGE LAST YEAR, SHOULD I GO AGAIN THIS YEAR?

You bet! Just as your business changes yearly, so does EDGE to meet your ever-changing needs.  Each year we add new speakers, venues, entertainment, and workshops.  In fact, nearly half of the workshops at last year’s EDGE were new!

 

New to EDGE Last year is the Hotel Market Place giving you the opportunity to meet with your favorite hotel partners and discover new ones. Also new is the Apex Lounge where you can learn more about our new partnership with American Express.

WHEN WILL ONLINE REGISTRATION BE AVAILABLE?

I’M AN ASSOCIATE, WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND THIS EVENT?

If you would like to bring additional staff from your agency, the first 20 people (1-20) are complimentary. After 20 people (21+), each additional attendee is $200 per person.

Complimentary spots are not guaranteed for any agent. Please make sure to check with your owner or manager prior to registering for EDGE.

I’M AN AFFILIATE, WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND THIS EVENT?

The cost to attend EDGE this year is $139. This includes some meals, all workshops, the Trade Show, Experience Room and all General Sessions. All transportation and accommodation costs will be on your own.

CAN I BRING MY FAMILY TO EDGE WITH ME?

Only registered attendees are allowed at EDGE functions, seminars, workshops, and Trade Show. Please note that no one under 18 is allowed to attend any events or training.

CAN I REGISTER A GUEST?

Guests 18 and older are welcome at the Travel Advisor registration rate. You must register all guests for them to be able to attend workshops and functions. Please use the guest/spouse registration type.

HOW DO I KNOW I HAVE BEEN REGISTERED?

When you register, you will receive an automated confirmation email containing your confirmation number and the details of your registration. If you do not receive a confirmation email within a few hours or registering for EDGE, please notify us at EDGE@travelleaders.com.

HOW DO I VIEW/MODIFY/CANCEL MY REGISTRATION?

You may log back into the registration system using your confirmation number and make any modifications that you would like to make.

I HAVE CHANGED MY AGENCY SINCE REGISTERING FOR CONFERENCE, AND NEED TO UPDATE MY CONTACT INFORMATION AND/OR IATA/CLIA NUMBER. HOW DO I DO THIS?

You may log back into the registration system using your confirmation number and make any modifications that you would like to make.

IF I REGISTER SOMEONE NOW, AND LATER HE/SHE DECIDES HE/SHE CAN’T MAKE IT, CAN I CHANGE THE REGISTRATION TO A DIFFERENT NAME?

Absolutely!  Name changes and substitutions are allowed at no cost. For information on how to do this, please contact us at EDGE@travelleaders.com.

I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY CONFIRMATION NUMBER. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Your confirmation number is listed in your registration confirmation email. You may also contact us at EDGE@travelleaders.com.

I’M AN ASSOCIATE, WHAT IS THE REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you are not able to attend EDGE this year and need to cancel your registration, you will need to let us know by Tuesday, May 15, 2019, or we will bill your office for a full registration fee of $200 per registrant not cancelled. We need to institute this policy as we rely on our registrations to make sure we order enough food and beverages for meals, as well as have the meetings rooms set up appropriately.

I’M AN AFFILIATE, WHAT IS THE REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you cancel on or before March 31, 2019, you will be refunded 100% of the amount that you paid. – If you cancel between April 1, 2019 and May 14, 2019, you will receive a refund, minus a $50.00 cancellation fee. – If you cancel after May 15, 2018, there will be no refund. Name changes are always accepted. Please notify use immediately at EDGE@travelleaders.com if you must cancel your registration.

IF I MUST CANCEL DO I NEED TO NOTIFY TRAVEL LEADERS NETWORK?

ABSOLUTELY!  We must guarantee the food and beverage for every event and we allow only so many participants in each of the training sessions.  You do not want us to pay for food that is not eaten. Nor would you want to penalize someone who wants to attend a class, but can’t because you’re holding a spot in a training session that you will not be attending.  Please notify use immediately at EDGE@travelleaders.com if you must cancel your registration.

HOTEL

HOW DO I MAKE MY HOTEL RESERVATIONS FOR EDGE?

After you register for EDGE you will receive a confirmation email which will include a link to make your hotel reservations.

HOW DO I MODIFY/CANCEL MY HOTEL RESERVATION?

To modify or cancel your hotel reservation, you must contact the Gaylord National Harbor at +1 301-965-4000.

WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS/

SPECIAL EVENTS

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS/SPECIAL EVENTS/MEAL FUNCTIONS TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND THEM?

Yes, to participate in any class, seminar, or special event, including meal functions, you must be registered.

WHEN CAN I SIGN UP FOR WORKSHOPS?

Registration for all workshops and seminars will be available in Late April 2019. You will be notified via email when class registration begins.  Therefore, it is extremely important that the email address you use on your registration is one that you check regularly.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY AGENDA FOR WORKSHOPS/EVENTS THAT I HAVE REGISTERED FOR?

You will receive an email agenda when you have completed signing up for workshops.  You will also have a bar code on your name badge which stores all the items that you have registered for.

I WAS NOT ABLE TO SIGN UP FOR THE WORKSHOPS/EVENTS THAT I WANTED. WHAT CAN I DO?

If there are extra spaces available for a class, they will be available at the Information Desk near the Registration area.  When you arrive at EDGE, visit the Info Desk during their business hours to have open workshops added to your agenda.  You may also “stand by” for a class by going to the door before the class time and letting the classroom door monitor know you would like to attend the class.  If there is room available, they will let you in.

FOR WORKSHOPS WITH SEVERAL LEVELS OF WORKSHOPS, SHOULD I PLAN TO TAKE ALL THE LEVELS OFFERED?

No.  If you are new to a product or subject, you should only take the introductory level and perhaps one additional class in that series.  Trying to take advanced workshops after just learning a new product or subject is counter-productive.  Concentrate on mastering a product or subject before taking on the advanced workshops.
